Marlon W. Brown is President and CEO of Clarendon Global Partners (CGP), and HighGate Global Group, Ltd. Both are Investment Management, Investment Advisory and Risk Management. He is an experienced leader with more than 26 years of investment management expertise with a global asset management perspective. He has extensive global investment capability working across North America, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Caribbean with deep knowledge, connections and expertise in developing and emerging economies. Marlon is highly skilled in all aspects of institutional investment management including investment research, business development, client portfolio management, portfolio strategy, and relationship management.

Born in Jamaica where he lived until he was 13 years old before moving to New York, and with historical roots in Ghana, Marlon quickly understood and felt at home working in developing countries. These early efforts involved for example working with newly appointed ‘trustees to the $200+ billion government employee pension fund (GEPF) in South Africa to provide pro-bono investment education while marketing exposure to US Large Cap equities; working in Rwanda as a board member of a non-profit beginning in 2004 to help promote peace and reconciliation, emotional healing and better health for orphaned kids; working on rural farm road projects in Liberia; small scale gold mining in Ghana; investment advisory work in Ghana; and working in Tanzania to help revitalize a 93,000 acre government-owned cattle and agricultural ranch.

Marlon is adept at people-oriented relationship building and collaborative ideas and solutions development in diverse and multi-cultural environments
